Customization Options

Dozzzer offers extensive configurability, allowing users to choose between various battery-saving modes. Users can opt for maximum battery conservation or a balanced approach that ensures timely message delivery:

• Eager: Activates immediately upon turning off the screen.
• Medium: Engages after 5 minutes of inactivity, potentially delaying messages by approximately 7 minutes.
• Lazy: Activates after 10 minutes of idleness, with messages possibly delayed by around 2 minutes.

Clarification on VPN Requirement

The necessity for a VPN arises from Android's limitations regarding direct control of mobile data starting from Lollipop and later versions. The VPN operates locally and poses no security risks. Furthermore, it enables users to exclude certain applications (such as Skype or Hangouts) from Doze mode, but only on Lollipop and later versions.

Continued Relevance on Marshmallow

Even for devices running Marshmallow, Dozzzer remains advantageous. Utilizing the eager settings can further enhance battery performance beyond what is typically achievable.
